RMA – SSD Sandisk Extreme PRO 240GB – In exchange Warranty

In February 2014 eu adquiri um SSD Sandisk Extreme de 240GB. In fact I got the store to buy the Ultra model which had seen on their website, but when the salesman picked him up in stock, I realized that it was actually an Extreme that was registered wrong. The seller said I could take this for the same price of the Extreme Ultra, then it turned out to be an excellent deal. My desktop PC started to work with Windows installed on it since then, getting much faster, whereas before I used only a 64GB SSD as cache, which helps a lot in some cases, but does not compare to the use of SSD as a system drive even.

At the time of acquisition of SSD Sandisk Ultra II G25 SDSSDHII-480G-G25, 480GB, SATA3, 2.5′ for a laptop, I learned of the existence of Sandisk SSD Dashboard, Sandisk's own software that includes tools for disk analysis, firmware update, among other. I also decided to install it on my desktop and, to my surprise, I found that the Sandisk Extreme SSD 240GB was no longer very good health. Confirmed or problem, said exchange would have to be made. As the Extreme model is no longer manufactured, I was offered a top model: o Extreme PRO. I can conclude that my exchange experience under warranty with the Sandisk was quite positive. To be perfect only lacked cover the shipping of the defective SSD's return to São Paulo, but in any case it is already much better than RMA da G.Skill it requires sending to the US. Highlights also include sending the replacement via UPS, and all taxes paid, so that all the exchange process took less than two weeks. Again, much better than the G.Skill, sending hair USPS First Class that sometimes is very time consuming and leaves the customer at the risk of having to pay tax or try to explain to the IRS (who knows how) it was just an exchange under warranty. Good, to be perfect even could make the switch to bring the new and bring the defective scheme, but few companies working well. Moreover, no Brasil, just because honor the guarantee already a great thing, mainly because apparently also exchange products purchased abroad (I deduce this because they did not request the invoice).

    Great! O meu SSD Kingston 32 Gb classe 4 who had arrived yesterday pifado. Also just I paid the defective sending PAC to Sao Paulo. It's the kind of assurance that they call the “counter guarantee”. Congratulations to Kingston and SanDisk that are honoring the warranty!

    Good to know it a SSD OCZ had to pay tax twice, one import and one at the back of the RMA. Besides having to do it by hand, to complicate, the Post Office employee even know how to proceed.
