Teens venture to listen to MP3 player

NOVA YORK – Teenagers seem to know that loud music can damage your hearing.

But most of them see no reason to lower the volume on their iPods, suggests a small study.

In discussions with groups of students from two schools in the Netherlands, researchers found that the teens were generally aware that blasting an MP3 player at high volume could harm their hearing.

But most of them still said they usually played their own device at maximum volume, and he has no plans to change that.
