Today I'm doing the review of the first product purchased in DealExtreme and that was taxed by the IRS, what did it take until you consider that we are in the land of taxes, corrupt politicians and laws that protect only bandits. The product in question is a stand-remote control, o Subaru WRC2006, modelo Rally (Subaru WRC2006 Remote Controlled R/C Rally Model Car), purchased by 29,39 USD, which at that time amounted to £ 53,97 (custando U.S. dollars of R $ 1,84), what is a good price if we consider that it is a stand Auldey, Race-Tin series whose generation 3 (Race-Tin gen3) is acclaimed worldwide (look here) for affordable and high quality. The carts this series are all licensed by Subaru and other manufacturers (Audi, Mercedez-Benz, BMW, Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Citröen, Mitsubichi, Peugeot, etc.). This Subaru is the model LC296650, under catalog 2008 da Auldey (Care to see the catalog, makes you want to have the whole collection :)). I could not find any stand Auldey in Brazil, but similar models of unknown brands cost between R $ 150,00.
In this post I will speak primarily of the purchase history and the comings and goings to mail, and then on the product itself. So let the story: the purchase was made on the day 11/09/2008, sent on 12/09/2008 and arrived in Brazil em 17/09/2008. A few days later, by tracking already could tell that the product had been taxed by the phrase denounced: “In transit to POST-DIRECTED EMIS NTS / taxed / XX”, and after that there was nothing to do but wait to check the size of the bite Lion. And mordida foi great, not give 26/09 came the notice of Posts to the value of £ 80,47, far above the 60% proposed intervention by lei (chegava to 150%) therefore assumed that the value of the product was 70 USD, certainly for not believing in the value declared by DealExtreme, only 35 Hong Kong dollars (they can not even 10 USD) kicked and any value, and as always, an absurdly high value, but I could not expect anything better that people who live on strike.
Then I compared the post office where the product was on 30/09 to make a request to review the tax, already took the vouchers to attach: copy of the invoice from DealExtreme, copy of the invoice from PayPal, copy of the invoice and credit card copy product announcement at DealExtreme, all consisting value 29,39 U.S. dollar (much less than the 70 eles dollars assumiram). Arriving there the employee assisted me with the greatest unwillingness, probably unaware of the procedures, tried to push another employee, that pushed him back, both were doing terrorism implying that the recipe was right and that they could even increase the tax if I send back, it would take to get back and I'd end up having to pay penalty for delay (when it dismissed the due date does not change and thus have to pay late penalty). But I did not open my right hand and demanded the review request, gave me the form to fill out and ended up doing as I asked, but not before rolling for two days not doing what they know and only to ship the product back to the review on 02/10 (no wonder they warn deadlines, they know they will wrap themselves beyond revenue).
The product was then on to review and 18/10 became available in the agency. I called there today, 20/10 and report the value of the tax, R$ 38,47. More specifically, My review request was granted (accepted) and on day 13/10 was issued a new note simplified taxation (NTS), with the value of R $ 38,47, exactly 60% the value of the product considering the dollar as U.S. $ 2,1818, value of the day of issuance of the new NTS. I expected the amount of R $ 32,38 (60% how much actually paid), but ended up losing £ 6,00 more on account of exchange rate variation. Note that the IRS considers when the dollar the day of issue of the NTS, so the charge was 60% R $ 64,12 (=R$ 38,47) and not £ 53,97 (=R$ 32,38) that was the amount I actually paid when the dollar was still low.
Of course I would prefer that the package had not been taxed, but I was glad to know that the tax that analyzed the case had common sense and accepted my request for review, charging the exact amount established by law (a law abuse, but that unfortunately exists and is observed, unlike many others that we have here). I think it would be fairer if they considered the dollar value of the purchase, but then I think it's asking too much.
Below the trace table request, for those who want to check all steps of an order taxed and spent by a request for review, note that she returned to St. Paul to be reviewed.

Imposed pay, produto liberado, it's time to see some photos: first packet, see that a box is relatively large, I believe that has been the subject of taxation, it was the first case that recebi DealExtreme, and coincidentally the first order taxed. All other requests were for smaller items that were sent in envelopes, and none were taxed. Apparently the IRS opened the package, because there is tape in the mail Brazilian package, and a tape that says “repacked”. The box itself is the product box, wrapped with a tissue paper (probably not to scratch the acrylic that sits in the cart), a plastic bubble over the tissue paper and kraft paper over all. In the upper right corner we see a sticker talking about postal tribute. On the label of the product description we “Special Services, R/C Cars”, I think DealExtreme should leave the buyer customize this description, it is really unnecessary to put that “Special Services”, que se refere ao Drop-Shipment (get the name of the store package), it only serves pra cause curiosadade you can get tax plan “what will be the special service that's in here?”. Furthermore “R/C Cars” plural also burning the movie, is a stand alone, could only be described as “R/C Car” or “Toy”, or “Hobby” (that was the description used by the IRS in NTS), despite that the latter should draw more attention than in the case of Toy remote control cars, considered as the toys are usually cheaper, while the Hobby can cost well over.
The box survived with some minor dents on the edges, and stand in acrylic box, although fixed base, NON resisted to Mauser-treatment of Correios and desencaixou top (“bodywork”) by inferior (containing the motor, axes, etc.), As can be seen from the rear raised. It took me a bit to get reseating, but ended up giving it right. Here the box stand at various angles (all photos in this blog can be viewed at “king size” clicking on the photo to see it in the gallery at 800×600 and clicking again on the gallery to see them in 3072×2304):

Box Subaru Impreza WRC2006 of Auldey, chacoalharem of both the Post Office he ended the rear undocked, despite being securely attached to the base of the acrylic box

And the other side, that highlights some features of the cart, as suspensão, the lights and the antenna hidden
And after the open box, we stand still attached to the base and the remote control in the shape revolver (allowing control it with only one hand):
The cart surprised me positively, By using only 2 pilhas AA (3In), I thought he would be weakly, slow, up because I have another cart that uses more 8 pilhas AA (12In) and runs fairly, I figured that with only 1/4 that the cart would be somewhat slow. But to my surprise it is quite light (scale 1:28) and therefore quite fast (7 Km / h according to the specification), he gets to skate on flat floor with relative ease. While the accelerator is digital (I believe that no cart in Category “toy” have analog throttle) is easy to control it because it comes out relatively slowly accelerate and vai “Packing” bit by bit. It is worth noting that many people buy Auldey stands to make changes, and a favorite of the staff is to put a pile extra, as the rechargeable batteries have “only” 1,2In, can be placed 3 them to total 3.6 V and achieve even higher speed (say the engine was made to support 3.6 V). Observation: although rechargeable batteries use 1.2 V versus 1.5 V alkaline batteries, the latter only have that tension when new, but the tension is decreasing rapidly and getting smaller over the battery life, while the rechargeable batteries tend to maintain its rated load during the entire load decay quickly and only when the load ends.
The finish of the cart also surprised me, ABS plastic is painted with a metallic paint, giving a very good visual, and decals are actually decals, and seem very well applied, have to look closely to see the transparent edges in some drawings, and I think they will not go with time. Carts of this caliber and price usually use common yellow stickers and peel off with time, then the decals were a pleasant surprise as well. The antenna is hidden from cart, which gives a more real to him, since the little antennas stroller and often disproportionate affect its potential as a little miniature faithful, On the other hand the lack of external antenna must hurt a little scope.
The cart is traction on the rear wheels, all wheels have damping system. Another major plus point is that this account basket even with a differential, Auldey the Chinese were very whimsical in design this cart. The headlights illuminate when the cart is moving forward and the taillights illuminate when the cart is moving in reverse. You can also adjust the alignment of the front wheels. A label indicates the frequency: 27,145 MHz, we must be aware of this when using more than one basket in the same environment. There is also a seal that apparently indicates the manufacturing date of the cart, in which case, May 2008. The position of the two cells appear to be strategic to give more stability to cart:
The remote control allows model revolver cart using only one hand, or alternatively using two hands. The steering wheel is rubberized, facilitating control only with the thumb. The control also uses 2 pilhas AA, and has no switch on / off, the LED lights up only when the steering wheel or the accelerator is pressed, so apparently it does not consume any energy when nothing is being pressed and does not send any signal, unlike other models that also send signal to indicate that the car should be stopped. It comes with a telescopic antenna and has a range of nominal 15 meters, a bit low in my opinion, but you can not play well in environments such large.
On the back of the remote control have the logo Auldey and more a peck indicating the frequency:
E to complete or review, I leave a little video of the trolley running:
And so the full review of the Subaru Impreza WRC2006 acquired on DealExtreme. If you also want to shop in DealExtreme, directly from Hong Kong, click here and good shopping.
Well your full review, Fabricio!
Gostei quite!
Ha cerca de 1 Last year I made my purchase at Deal Extreme, was thinking of buying some junk out there now for Christmas – among these forts I also thought about taking a Impreza WRC – but I think I'll end up waiting a little longer.
I saw in several forums that the recipe was giving a “extra attention” for the products of. Long ago we could buy quiet in HB-Photo to spend the revenue to pay attention to the products there!
I'll end up postponing my purchase at DE for the start of next year!
Off topic: It would be nice if the cart, as well as the original, come with AWD! As for elements “skate” a little, ever thought about adding a weight to the car?!
Thanks Samuel. I'm also putting off my next purchase, not because of revenue, always missed my requests that came in envelope, but because the dollar too high. I'll wait it down a bit to buy some batteries motherboard, since it appears that my crashed. As to the cart, traction in 4 There wheels on some models of Auldey, more specifically in major (1:10 for example), to be more expensive and has the DX. As for skating, I did not express myself right, he naturally patina because it is relatively slow acceleration. What gives to do is quickly reverse traction (Front for Re) and simultaneously turning the steering wheel to one side, with it he gives a horse cock over 90 degrees. I think it's even a desirable feature for those who like to do drifting. Cornering it loses some traction (probably by dividing the voltage with the engine that drives the front wheels) and also makes a different noise (must be the differential). I tested using two Sony NiMH batteries that are well pesadinhas. Creio que se colocar um par de… Read more "

Hehehehe
We, but not hazard, must have passed beaten by sampling, a friend of mine bought a guitar for Wii, huge box, description totally compromising and also spent. I even got a camera as “Clothes”, but today would not do that anymore. Inspectors are not fools, DealExtreme know and you know that there does not sell books. I've heard stories of people who received a fine addition to tax for lying in the declaration of contents, then it might be more prudent to ask for exchanging the description, but instead of lying, just omit, “Toy” draws attention less than “R/C Cars”, but at least it is not a lie.
Fabricio, nice effort and all the comments that RC. If not conconde with the taxation of customs after REVIEWED have anything else we can do, like revaluation of the application on another level ? I wish this whole tax icms and we are obligated to pay was actually reversed in benefits for the people and not for the accounts of bad politicians and corrupt officials.
Ricardo,
I believe we do not have another level, I do not know if there.
Wow, Niiiiice Review!!! i couldnt stop reading!!! 😀
i just boght the car, it will be shipped in 3 days (BackOrderd)

Are the good?
say, should i add another battary, or just live with 2 (i have 0 nolege in electricity, and im afreid to ruin somthing)

I never bought any Soshine batteries, but people say they are not as good as Sanyo, Sony, etc. but are better than BTY and some others. I am using GP Recyko batteries in my remote car. Today I think the GS Yuasa Enitime are the best deal on DX, I just bought one more package of it and the review is coming soon.

But they are only 2000mAh :/
well, what will be the diffrent anyway? 😀
and are 1.5v batteries will be faster? for how long?
They are 2000mAh, but they are low self-discharge. As I don’t use my remote car very often (or use only a few minutes each time), for me 2000mAh LSD is better than 2700mAh non-LSD. 1.5V alcaline batteries are supposed to be faster in the beggining, as they are outputing ~3.0V instead of ~2.4V from the NiMH batteries. But as they worn out, alcaline batteries will quickly drop below 1.2V, while NiMH keeps their initial voltage almost constant for near the whole cycle.
About the third battery mod (I forgot to answer in your last comment) I didn’t do it, and I really don’t think I will ever do it. The stock speed is enough for me, or at least I wouldn’t go in to the trouble of attaching a third battery just for an increase in the speed. But I’m not a modder, people who enjoy this kind of thing will probably think this is one of the easiest mods to do.
wow, i read on wikipedia on the lsd thingy.
i just noticed one thing.
the can keep 70%-85% of their power after a year or so AT 20 ° C (68 ° F)
so it wont help me so much 😛 i live in israel and its always 30 °C-36 °C In here 😛
well, it dosent matter, im just waiting for the toy 🙂
Hey! i just kearnd new thing in Electronics! Thank you! 😀
