Four small purchases in DealExtreme, all made separate so that each product was shipped in a different package, unregistered and thus minimize the chances of being taxed. At least so far, never without a pack my record was taxed, probably because the customs inspectors know that this product priced below 15 dollars and not worth spending time and money (ourselves taxpayers who pay their wages) issuance of the note to simplified taxation (NTS) from as low value.
The products were:
- 1 x Romisen MXDL RC-Lanterna Create G2 (Romisen MXDL RC-G2 Cree Flashlight Black (1xAA)), on request 20/05, sent em 22/05. The flashlight uses only one AA battery, but has excellent brightness and construction.
- 1 x Premium HDMI-HDMI Cable with Zinc Alloy 1,8 Metro extensão (HDMI-HDMI Premium Zinc Alloy Cable (1.8m Length)), on request 21/05, sent em 25/05. Good quality HDMI cable, gold connectors and much lower than the price charged here.
- 2 x Optical Cable TOSLINK Digital Audio Premium 3 m extensão (Premium TOSLINK Digital Audio Optical Cable (3M-Length)), the first order in 21/05 and sent in 25/05, and second order in 24/05 and sent in 29/05. Optical cable along which also seems to have good quality, Cover with plastic connector gold price and also well below those charged here.
Despite the different shipping dates all came together in packages 10/06. A lanterna described as “CREE LIGHTS”, the HDMI cable as “PLUGS / ADAPTORS” and optical cables without description. Declared values 45, 45, 33 and 33 HKD (Hong Kong dollars) respectively, in other words, values between 8 and 11 real. Curiously, the first optical cable has come into an envelope smaller than the second. All packages have been released by the IRS in Curitiba (and the stamp proves it).
Cables and lantern have been tested and work perfectly, a review with photos and more elaborate will be prepared when a little time left over. If you also want to shop in DealExtreme, directly from Hong Kong, click here and good shopping.
