Today I talk about a purchase in FocalPrice de to Com Power Adapter Plug Universal Australian and Taken (Universal Outlet Power Adapter Australian Plug). This is an Australian standard plug adapter (Type I) for universal, accept any type of plug.
Before creating the Brazilian standard ABNT incompatible with everything, was common to find appliances (refrigerators, washer, etc.) who need ground wire using the standard European plug (Type C, one with two round pins) and a separate wire to ground. More recently, some electronics (computers, TVs, etc.) began to bring the plug on U.S. standard (Type B), with two parallel flat pins and one round pin to ground. But for some strange and unknown reason, alguns manufacturers (read Brastemp), decided to sell some appliances using the Australian standard plug (Type I), using 3 flat pins. Consequently, taken to this pattern were sold by the best manufacturers, and some of them were installed in service areas, just to turn such electronics without adapters.
But spent time and Brastemp returned to the plugs in the North American standard type A. Today I do not know if they have forcibly adopted the standard imposed by ABNT, but in the stores there are still many appliances with plug type A. And what to do to connect them to the outlets in the Australian standard Type I? In the Brazilian market apparently no adapter that serves for that, then the solution is to buy direct from Hong Kong. The Com Power Adapter Plug Universal Australian and Taken does just that, allows you to connect any type of plug to taken in the Australian Standard, including connecting the earth. And so the new and old appliances with very different plugs can be connected to the Australian outlet. I have no plug in the new Brazilian standard with earth to test, I can not say it will also serve, those who have no land usually serve.
In a possible trip to Australia the Com Power Adapter Plug Universal Australian and Taken can also be quite useful. Other countries using the plug type I are: American Samoa, China, El Salvador, Fiji, Guatemala, Kiribati, Nauru, New Zealand, Okinawa (province south of Japan), Panama, Papua New Guinea, Saint Vincent, Tajikistan, Tonga, and Uruguay.
The construction of Com Power Adapter Plug Universal Australian and Taken looks good, theoretically supports 250V and 10A. There is a seal indicating that it is only stop export.
