Hello Skooter Blog readers. Today, I present a new store to shop for perfumes and cosmetics abroad, priced much lower to those found in Brazil: e a FragranceNet.com. This loja tem U.S. headquarters and send us the Via USPS direto (the U.S. Postal). Payment can be made with major credit cards flags (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) and also with PayPal, with all its practicality and safety, which is the method I chose for my first purchase.
I decided to buy FragranceNet.com after FragranceX.com problems that had strayed into the packages of many Brazilian clients, including my, and gave a weariness to make repayments. I even had to appeal to a chargeback with the operator's credit card, others managed amicably reimbursement, but only after 6 months of submission. With FragranceNet.com ever had a first impression better, it already offered a refund after I complain about a relatively small delay, and neither was quite a claim, but a warning that I had not received to facilitate a possible future claim for reimbursement.
As with the FragranceX.com and to StrawberryNET.com, prices FragranceNet.com They are also excellent, even lower than the Duty Free Dufry, This free shop at the airport in Guarulhos (among other Brazilian airports), whose scents usually have much lower prices than the stores that pay all taxes countless Brazilians. The difference becomes even more absurd when comparing with other stores in Brazil, where imported perfumes in bottles of 100ml can cost more than U.S. $ 400,00, whereas in FragranceNet.com they easily cost only a 30% thereof, including freight.
For my initial purchase I decided to order a perfume that I already know, to make it easier to identify if it is genuine. The chosen was ARMANI by Giorgio Armani EDT SPRAY 3.4 OZ for MEN, remembering that 3,4 oz (oz) equivalem to 100ml. The cost was $ 60,54 (U.S. dollars two). In the same purchase also ordered a makeup kit for my girlfriend, the Kit Maquiagens Camaleon G1688, which has a 34 shades, 3 blushers, 2 pó compact, 1 mask, 1 pencil for eyes, 4 batons, 4 applicators and, obviously, a mirror. Readers of Skooter Blog, correct me if I missed the name of any of these components Brazilian, but it is the first time I buy makeup and I never used them :). Este kit custou US$ 26,55. I have no notion of price makeups, but it seems rather razoável.
The purchase was made in 13/02/2012. O frete via USPS First Class Mail custou US$ 20,95. The U.S. mail is kinda expensive in relation to the post office in China and Europe, but still cheaper than Brazil, This must be the world's most expensive. The low price of the goods pays the freight slightly higher. The category First Class offers no tracking. A FragranceNet.com slightly delayed sending, then in 22/02/2012 sent an email apologizing for the delay, because they were awaiting the arrival of the product for skin care (I infer that the makeup kit), because a delay manufacturer. As compensation for the delay already offered a discount 5%, who arrived immediately refund via PayPal. The following day, 23/02/2012, submission was made.
In 17/04/2012, the packet has finally arrived, after almost 2 months transiting. In the meantime I had already warned the store about the delay, that despite considering other common time, was kind of unusual for this year 2012 that packets have arrived more quickly. The store apologized and offered refunds already, which I thought was very honest on their part.
The somewhat strange package, came with a CN22 form describing how this content (“Gift”) com declared value of U.S. $ 30,00, Submitted by Susan Langen. Another form beside my data indicated as recipient, all handwritten. On the other hand another label, with another declaration of contents (CN22), this also as “GIFT” and as “BEAUTY PRODUCTS”, also with a declared value of $ 30,00. There are two codes from the USPS, LC starting with one another and starting with LN, but either way neither is traceable. The important thing is that the package was not taxed.
Within the package, the ARMANI by Giorgio Armani EDT SPRAY 3.4 OZ for MEN and the Kit Maquiagens Camaleon G1688 in their original packaging. The Kit Maquiagens Camaleon G1688 It is distributed by Cameleon Cosmetics Co. Ltd. There is no indication of origin. In the box there is a list of ingredients used in each kit items, what seems to me a very important information so that customers can take precautions regarding any allergies to any component. On the back of the kit there is also a list of ingredients, but simple, without specifying the relationship between ingredient and item kit. My girlfriend liked enough of that kit Cameleon, therefore consider it approved.
Regarding ARMANI by Giorgio Armani EDT SPRAY 3.4 OZ for MEN. I confess that I was disappointed when I saw the packaging, that is different from what I was used: the spray button is smoother (is not as concave), the output of the jet spray does have a different distribution, caninho and following the spray to the bottom of the bottle is thinner. The rest is all the same. I was on the back foot thinking it's fake, I tried to compare this and other fragrance bottles I have here, but could not identify any marked difference in fragrance, I think my nose is not sensitive enough. I kept thinking that the product was fake because of these characteristics that differ from all other Armani EDT already bought at different places (Brazilian online stores, TOP physical loja em Manaus International, Duty Free Dufry in Guarulhos, physical store in a mall in Barcelona, Spain, etc.). A single package equal to that of FragranceNet.com was an StrawberryNET.com I was also regarded as false by being so different (including unlike other bottle I had also asked earlier in StrawberryNET.com, which was equal to the former).
I then decided to make a request of the same perfume in Perfume Emporium and, to my surprise, this same shaft packing different. I was even more lost! It was then that I made a trip to Australia and return spent again Duty Free Dufry from Guarulhos airport and bought another Armani EDT 100ml. When I opened the packaging, there was another bottle with these different characteristics. Were the four, Four different locations, all false? Seems highly unlikely. Does it simply changed the packaging of the original? It seems more plausible. Now I really believe that the packaging was changed. Unfortunately there is nothing on the site to help Giorgio Armani, but with fixation tests became more convinced that it is more likely that the packaging has changed even. I think a forger who has taken care to copy many details would not waver in detail only the spray. Ou iria? Further evidence that the package would have changed is the serial numbers of the different containers are each newer than the serial numbers of packaging old. The last perfume that I bought with the old packaging was one of FragranceX, and the serial number was smaller, probably an old stock.
If any readers out there uses this perfume and recently bought, be sure to comment on how the package, is same as the photos below, or equal to the photos that I bought at FragranceX, because I still want to solve this mystery. Another doubt that puzzles me is: Why only once found the bottle of 200ml? It was just the purchased in a physical store in a mall in Barcelona, Spain. Everything indicates that it is legitimate. I understand that is not common to find versions in 200ml free shop because of limited bottles of 100ml in hand luggage on planes, but why is not found in any virtual or physical shop elsewhere? This is another mystery.
With all these tests, I ended up with perfume enough not to have to buy more mid- 2014 or 2015 (by my estimates). But if the last bottle and no trip abroad planned, I think my next purchase would be back on FragranceNet.com or no Perfume Emporium. I should also portray me with StrawberryNET.com, a FragranceNet.com and some readers, because before completing the tests I went ahead, to some readers who asked, that these shops were not sending genuine fragrances, I see now that seems to have been a mistake.
