The SanDisk Cruzer Edge 64 GB USB Flash Drive, acquired on DealExtreme – DX, in Brazil is a pendrive, as well as all devices of this type are known in Brazil although nothing look like a pen.
Was chosen for large capacity (64GB) and be branded Sandisk, I already know and trust, as can be seen by lot of products that mark which have been discussed here in Skooter Blog, there including memory cards, other flash drives, SSDs, etc. A Sandisk has even managed to appear in the cloud most used tags right there.
The Edge model is very compact, lower than the older Cruzer. However a disadvantage is that the USB connector is now all plastic, and somewhat incomplete form. But fits perfectly into all USB connectors that tested. The idea was to put all my music collection on it, which currently has “only” 19,4 GB, in other words, still have enough room to grow and still fit in pendrive. Thus, I could have all my music collection available to listen to in the car at the time wanted. At home and at work have more ear Spotify where the collection is virtually unlimited, but the car still do not have this option, since all data plans for all mobile operators are very messy with ridiculous franchises.
Put all the songs on SanDisk Cruzer Edge 64 GB USB Flash Drive was easy. I created a task in SyncBack Pro to easily sync my music directory with him. But unfortunately, my almost 4.000 songs, Ford My Connection can only see a 900 and few. From what researched, seems to be a radio bug even, or “incompatibility”. I'm looking for a solution, but it seems the only way is to get some Chinese MP3 player to put in the car. I'll get a model with line out to have a better sound than that obtained with FM transmitter, which is usually the default option. Tips?
That was my first purchase in DX something gives warehouse in Hong Kong. The difference, understanding hair, is that such products can not be placed in the same order that the products of other deposits, including traditional. I noticed that the package came quite different from the other DX, unmarked, with value declaration in Hong Kong dollars (as DX no longer used for a long time), with content statement describing exactly the product rather than generic terms, and using an envelope that only those reusable close with a line. Detail: came just closed on the line, no tape. I think that people in Hong Kong still do not know how is Brazil. Maybe this will change after the impact of the numerous assaults on tourists will surely happen during the World Cup.

Update (31/07/2014): I tested SanDisk Cruzer Edge 64 GB USB Flash Drive with H2testw, confirming that the 64GB capacity is real. Following the test result:
Warning: Only 60997 of 61035 MByte tested.
Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
Writing speed: 3.99 MByte / s
Reading speed: 20.7 MByte / s
H2testw v1.4
Very good story, including because it is a well sought after product here.
But I have a doubt: Have you tested to see if the capacity is real? Because bought some flash drives off and after testing with H2testw found that most were tampered with and did not have the capacity reported
Thank you, Marcos.
Not tested. But I will do this test when you get home and update here.
