Already have 8 years, but still worth a small analysis, Cort as the X-11 manufactured guitar remains, even with changes in the specification, the more evident in pickups: Mighty Mite and left the entradam the EMG.
And first impressions are:
The painting is very beautiful and the workmanship is very well done. One of the belt comes loose screws, it is placed in the rear of the horn over the guitar. I did not like that position, but gives to live with it. The color I choose is charcoal grey. At the time there were two options: charcoal grey and Blueburst. Today site oficial indicates two colors: Black Cherry Sunburst e Trans. Charcoal Grey.
I liked the thinner arm that layer traditional, done in a maple clear. The scale is in rosewood dark. The action of the strings is low, the way I like it. The frets are well rounded, no edges or burrs.
Really MightMite pickups make a difference, has much more gain than my Condor. They have a very good tone, but do not know how to define them. The push-pull button provides considerable versatility, the humbuckers give a nice clean sound when it is used. It has good support.
When using the lever forward, the guitar was giving some strange crackling. I discovered that they came from nut. I squeezed his two screws (on the rear arm) and ended the pops. Supposedly the quality control of Equipo tested all, even has the etiquetinha quality control with all the checked items: arm, painting, electricals, regulation, fret, hardware. So I guess I was not meant to have happened this, but less evil that was just hit the nut. It was probably just sagging timber because it is new or by changes in weather conditions.
The safe bridge the legal pitch, even after messing enough with the lever. I opened the lid where are the springs: they are three, and has room for two more. Opening the cover is also possible to see that the wood is solid even, nothing plates pasted as the Condor. The regulation of the 8th was also cool, not perfect (gauging the tuner), but also never seen a guitar that was.
Overall I am really enjoying it, I thought it was worth it, not trade for an Ibanez RG, maybe swapped by an S, but these are much more expensive than Cort.
