Beamrider from the Atari 2600. Game Activision released 1983. It was originally scheduled for the Intellivision, and ported to or Atari 2600 later. Discovered by me when I won a cartridge 16 games the Atari 2600 in the early 90. It was my last Atari cartridge before winning the Master System.
I do not even remember more Beamrider, but one day was seeing here short list of the games that I had and decided to seek his ROM on my Harmony Cartridge to know what it was. Then I remembered it. One of the best games Atari 2600. Moreover, one cartridge 16 games only had good games. A pity that just when the selling Master System era a bola da vez. Fortunately the Harmony Cartridge prevents repentance is greater that my rediscovery of Atari 2600.
In fact the rediscovery was 1997 when I discovered PC Atari Emulator (best emulator Atari 2600 at the time) and the Star (which still exists today and turned out to be the best emulator currently). But again to have the hardware real still I took other 17 years! And Beamrider I think just not playing on emulators, then rediscovered it ended up taking over 20 years.
I leave my little video demonstrating there Beamrider, recorded on an Atari 2600, No Emulation. I'm a little rusty on it, after all there are more than 20 years since I was reasonably good at this game, but will anyway:
To close, here are some of the items that were used to make the recording gameplay from the Beamrider, which have been shown here in Skooter Blog:
