Just over a year I wrote here at Blog Skooter on the video game console of my childhood that still had to be regained: the Master System II Tec Toy Promotion Summer Games. It comes with Alex Kidd in Miracle World in memory and the cartridge Summer Games (California Games) as a gift.
Of childhood consoles, the Super Nintendo and the Mega Drive III were the ones who followed me into adulthood. And of those that were sold, I had managed to reacquire, the exact same model: the Sega Genesis and the Atari 2600. It was only missing the Master System.
Finally the wait is over, last month I ended up getting two of them, both Master System II Tec Toy Promotion Summer Games. After one month making cleaning and minor maintenance, they are finally presentable, and in this article I present the expected result of the island that I chose to save. Check out:
A caixa do Master System II – Promotion Summer Games
The Master System II box is not in the best of states, but is above average. One of my Master System II sold in mid- 1992 (i guess) It was almost perfect. But it's what we have for today. 🙂
O Isopor do Master System II
Styrofoam this Master System II is in good condition. The lid does not seem to be the original, but it is fitting perfectly. Okay here.
O console Master System II
This Master System II console is in very good condition, with just a few cosmetic risquinhos. The most surprising is that whites in adhesives not yellowed. It is common to find the Master System all yellowing today. Not the case this.
Master System II accessories
The accessories of this Master System II are almost all intact. The source is the original and is in perfect condition. The joystick is also original of this model, and after a cleaning and an adjustment to plug pins also was in top condition.
The key antenna switching is also great, with the inscription “Master System”, as was my Master System childhood. Muitas vezes vemos chaves comutadoras de antena com a inscrição “Computer” or “Videogame”, that probably came out of a Atari 2600 ou outro console. Not the case this, which is the same Master System.
The Summer Games cartridge is also above average, only with the label peeling in spots, I noticed as far as possible.
The RF cable I have no doubt that it is legitimate. If memory serves me, o original do Master System era levemente diferente, with a plastic cover almost all contact mesh. But this cable is working perfectly.
The A / V cable did not follow the Master System II. This cape, therefore, It was added by the seller or by a previous owner. The same goes for the adapter 300 ohms para 75 ohms. At that time still dominated the TV without A / V input and antenna input 300 ohms, so the omission of Tec Toy is justifiable.
Manuals & Brochures
I'm almost complete Master System II in a matter of manuals and brochures. Today with the console manual, manual do Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Summer Games manual (California Games), technical assistance list, flyers with games and accessories. What I remember was just missing the guarantee certificate and the brochure Master Club, with the business reply card, that hardly anyone did not send for Tec Toy.
Extras: 3 Cartridges
Cartridges were not even in my plans, since I already have the Master Everdrive. But these were together in a package that caught, so I decided to stay with them. Watchful and Tom e Jerry: The Movie estão soltos e o Monica on The Rescue It has the box.
Cool, more works?
Finally, I leave here some pictures of the Master System II fully operational, to Alex Kidd in Miracle World from memory, to Summer Games (California Games).
With the Master Everdrive é possível jogar toda a biblioteca de jogos do Master System e também do SG-1000, the first SEGA console, as the Master System is backward compatible with the SG-1000 in terms of software. O H.E.R.O. It is a game that I really like, and played well in Atari 2600. The version of the SG-1000 is graphically superior and has music.
Also I made sure to test the Street Fighter II of the Master System, because legend has it that it only works on the Master System III. Moreover, It was the very Tec Toy writing in the game box: “Compatible only with the Master System Compact III”. I do not know about the original cartridge, mas a ROM dele executa perfeitamente no Master System II com o Master Everdrive. I can not imagine any reason for the cartridge not work too.
And closing with some Master System II videos running, including games that use the Pistola Light Phaser: Gangster Town and Safari Hunt. I was not very happy in some of these recordings. On a non connected to Pistola Light Phaser correctly. She came loose and I lost in Safari Hunt :). In another attempt to Safari Hunt acabou o espaço livre no cartão SD da câmera. Por fim, on the Gangster Town the trigger wrapped. Made a fast lubrication with silicone spray, mas o vídeo já estava arruinado. 😛
