My OLD Dossier!Gamer: Playstation! The third volume of the collection. Who monitors the Skooter Blog have probably seen around my evaluation of the first two volumes, the Dossier OLD!Gamer: Master System and the Dossier OLD!Gamer: Super Nintendo. With the success of the book on the Master System, the Publisher Europe decided to launch a OLD File Collection!Complete gamer, with books on the Super Nintendo, the PlayStation, the Mega Drive, the MSX, the Atari 2600 and Nintendo (8 bits). It as I commented here in Skooter Blog, I got this collection on pre-sale and I am getting the volumes as they are released.
Dossier OLD!Gamer: PlayStation
My OLD Dossier!Gamer: PlayStation came on the day 09/06/2016. Just like the two previous volumes, This is also pretty neat. As of costume, the first part brings about of 60 pages, telling the story of the PlayStation with enough details, personalities, information and pictures of the hardware, differences between the various models released and a large list of accessories with pictures and descriptions.
The second part brings the plug of the 580 the games PlayStation, separated by year of release, from 1994 a 2004. For every game there is at least one screenshot, a short description and a technical data sheet with release date, Developer, Publisher, gender, amount of players, etc. The most famous games gain more space, until an entire page. There are icons to identify games released only in Japan, Dualshock compatible games, Games compatible with analog joystick, Games compatible with the PlayStation Mouse, Games compatible with the PocketStation, games that support the vibrate function, Games compatible with the Link Cable, Multitap compatible games, Light Gun compatible games, and games translated by fans into English.
