Dossier OLD!Gamer: Nintendo

No give 07/06/2017 came my Dossier OLD!Gamer: Nintendo. Is the seventh volume of the collection File OLD!Gamer, and the last of the first season. Who monitors the Skooter Blog have probably seen around my assessment of the first six volumes:

  1. Dossier OLD!Gamer: Master System
  2. Dossier OLD!Gamer: Super Nintendo
  3. Dossier OLD!Gamer: Playstation
  4. Dossier OLD!Gamer: Mega Drive
  5. Dossier OLD!Gamer: MSX
  6. Dossier OLD!Gamer: Atari 2600

With the success of the first dossier, about the Master System, the Publisher Europe decided to launch the OLD File Collection!Complete gamer, with books on the Super Nintendo, the PlayStation, the Mega Drive, the MSX, the Atari 2600 and Nintendo (8 bits). It as I commented here in Skooter Blog, I got this collection on pre-sale and I was getting the volumes as they were released.

Dossier OLD!Gamer: Nintendo

Two 7 volumes of OLD File Collection!Gamer, five consoles I had (and I have!). They are: Master System, Super Nintendo, PlayStation, Mega Drive, and Atari 2600. Despite never having owned a Nintendinho, played a lot in the House of peers, or such that Dossier OLD!Gamer: Nintendo also interested me enough.

The history of Nintendinho in Brazil also has its peculiarities. The console only arrived in Brazil well late. Before that predominated the Brazilian clones, like Phantom System, the Gradient, the Dynavision II, the Dynacom and Top Game da CCE. All these and other clones have featured in the book.

In the first part are about 70 pages with history, personalities, models and accessories. In the second part are 650 games, with Factsheet, screenshots and a short text. A downside is that the size of the game, that appeared in the Dossier OLD!Gamer: Atari 2600, now it's gone.

The packaging's Publisher Europe unfortunately has made the Dossier OLD!Gamer: Nintendo came with a dent on the cover. I should have claimed, but I forgot.

Check out the pictures and video I made to demonstrate the Dossier OLD!Gamer: Nintendo:

Final Considerations

With the seventh and final volume in hands, I can say that I was very pleased with the acquisition of this collection. Are the 6 consoles that were part of my childhood and more MSX, It also has a very interesting story.

As the second season, I don't have that much interest. I didn't have any of the four consoles, Neither the laptop and I've never been a big frequenter of arcades. Maybe even get some promotion in the future, but for now. The initial offer was R$ 132,30 by the second season, for those who already had acquired the first. So pay R$ 200,00 today is out of the question.

My Saturn came up with the cover upside down and they sent another. Complain that they send.
