[Review] Super Mario Odyssey – Nintendo Switch

In this article I talk about the Super Mario Odyssey of Nintendo Switch, acquired on Submarino. The game ended up arriving before my Nintendo Switch, Consequently ended up without use for a few days. But it was worth the wait. Super Mario Odyssey is one of the best games I've ever played in more than 30 years in that play video games.

Before the Nintendo Switch, My only Nintendo console was the Super Nintendo, I have since 1993. The Mario games I ever played were the Nintendinho and the Super Mario World. I've always liked platform games and watched with sadness that many classic games of platform does not have evolved to three-dimensional scenarios (I'm talking about you, Sonic!).

Having skipped the Super Mario 64 and all the other Mario games in fifth generation consoles on, always saw those games with certain desconfiaça. Thought that they couldn't be as good as their ancestors of platform. When I started playing the Super Mario Odyssey, in the first few minutes was almost confirmed that impression. But it was enough to get the hang of it I totally change your mind. Mario works very well in three dimensions. And Super Mario Odyssey There's even some trechinhos in 2D, with the right graphics with few colors and pixelated, to honor their origins.

And the graphics are cute, very pretty. Nintendo makes up for the lower resolution of the console (1080p, While competitors are already 2160 p full) with the cartoon-style graphics, very well designed, in the lower resolution and processing power do not miss.

Soundtrack and effects are also excellent. While most games take advantage of the digitized voices, Mario loose only a few squeals that combine very well with the style of the game. The conversations are predominantly in text with a few grunts. This is also a way to bypass the higher cost of for more data on a cartridge (in relation to Blu-rays).

Much in the Super Mario Odyssey remember their predecessors 2D: kinds of enemies, the heads, the coins, the puzzles, the secret areas, everything is there. It's not that kind of adaptation to 3D run completely to the original, as in the case of Ninja Gaiden, for example. The fidelity to the origins of Super Mario Odyssey is supplemented by new elements, as hat Boomerang. And everything fits perfectly.

Super Mario Odyssey has an amazing ability to arrest the player. It's hard to stop gambling. In my childhood that happens with almost any decent game, but nowadays it is rare for a game that can hold me so long. Every world has its own peculiarities and are very well designed.

Ultimately, I'm not going to continue here describing the game and all its other qualities because this type of review I leave it to the professionals. Here I left my prints. My verdict is that: the game is legendary. Have your place in history guaranteed.

Olá Skooter! I follow your blog for many years. I would like an orientation. My son will do 9 years in May and would like to present you with Nintendo, Since you are a big fan of Mario and Sonic by my influence. But to this day he only played in emulators like SNES, Dolphin, etc. I was thinking about buying a Wii U unlocked, but I'm afraid to go fast because it's not new. I don't want to spend buying games. What you guide me? What is more economically viable?
