[Review] Adapter Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Ugreen

In this article I talk about a Adapter Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Ugreen, acquired on AliExpress, shop Ugreen Official Store.

Motivation and Choice

The Adapter Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Ugreen was purchased to connect my Mini PC MSI Cubi 2 to my Receiver Yamaha Aventage RX-A870. The MSI Cubes 2 supports 4 k resolution in 60 Hz, but only through the output Mini DisplayPort, because the HDMI output is version 1.4, you don't have enough bandwidth for this resolution with this refresh rate.

There are 1080 p and 4 k versions in the colours black and white. I opted for the 4 k version in black.

The Purchase

Unboxing and Tests

Despite beautiful, the Adapter Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Ugreen did not work. Unfortunately, Adapter Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Ugreen It didn't work in my application, to MSI Cubes 2. I no longer had high hopes that would actually use it, because I figured it would work without sound. Despite the mini Display Port support sound, most manufacturers do not implement the sound in this output as it does with HDMI outputs. What I didn't count on was that I wouldn't even image.

Anyway I kept Adapter Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Ugreen. It is possible that it works for other applications, If it is not faulty. But for now I don't need it for anything.

Update (18/05/2018): I forgot to put the pictures of the box Adapter Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Ugreen. It indicates a maximum resolution of 4Kx2K @ 30 Hz. Give way, though I have worked, It wouldn't do any good for my purposes.
