Big games, like Star Ocean, already working?
You refer to the S-DD1 chip? Se for, There's a guy by implementing, but still there's nothing available.
But just two games use this chip, the Star Ocean and the Street Fighter Alpha 2.
The S-DD1 only makes the decompression of sprites that were put pills in ROM to save space.
The Star Ocean already has a version that runs on uncompressed hack SD2SNES, so all that's missing is the Street Fighter Alpha 2.
