In this article I talk about a Prevention VAA - S20 HDMI HDMI switch 2.0 [email protected] c/ 3 inputs 1 output, acquired on AliExpress, VEnTIOn store Official Store.
In November of last year I was already planning to acquire the Sony XBR TV-55X905E. A HDMI switch 2.0 It was not an immediate need, because until then I had only a 4 k source of 60 HZ, that is Playstation 4 For.
But to take advantage of promotions 11/11, traditional date of promotions in China, I went ahead to buy the switch that sooner or later I would need.
I've actually had a HDMI switch in my setup, that is LINK-MI LM-SW04. But he's not the most compatible and has problems with the Playstation 3 and the Playstation 4, for example, Besides being only compatible with the HDMI standard 1.4.
On LINK-MI LM-SW04 I've been connecting the Nintendo Switch, the Framemeister and the Minix Neo U1 in three of your entries, and the output to the receiver Yamaha RX-A870. With the acquisition of Minix Neo U9-H, What is HDMI 2.0, I connected it directly to the receiver Yamaha RX-A870, at the entrance where before I plugged the BD Player, that was then the switch LINK-MI LM-SW04 at the entrance where once was the Minix Neo U1, which in your time was for another TV.
Choose HDMI Switch Vention VAA-S20
The choice by the HDMI Switch Vention VAA-S20 did the trust I had in the Vention, because of the various HDMI cables of the brand I've bought it and work perfectly.
The model has just 3 inputs. It's not ideal, because today I got 9 HDMI sources in the room, What forces me to use all 7 rear entries receiver Yamaha RX-A870 and three of the HDMI Switch Vention VAA-S20. But chose anyway because the versions with more ports were not HDMI 2.0.
The HDMI Switch Vention VAA-S20 also counts with TOSLINK audio outputs and P2, which may be useful for those who want to extract the audio directly to an old receiver, that doesn't support HDMI, but to me has no use.
The HDMI Switch Vention VAA-S20 comes in a sealed box of Vention, with photo and specifications. Indicates band of 18 Gbps, that is required to support the HDMI standard 2.0.
Inside the box we have the switch, instruction manual, remote control and a USB power cable.
The remote control brings buttons to select each entry and also buttons to control the PIP function, that allows you to check the image of 3 at the same time entries, being a in full screen and two others in small Windows.
In front of the switch have POWER buttons and input selection, In addition to the LEDs that indicate operation. The inputs and the HDMI output are all in the back.
On the left side we have the TOSLINK optical audio output and the direct side we have the audio output P2 and input the plug for power input, of 5V.
The power supply with USB cable is convenient for who's going to feed the switch with a USB port of the TV itself, as I did, saving an outlet. For those who will call in socket need a PSU, that needs to be acquired the part.
In the first tests I tried to check if the HDMI Switch Vention VAA-S20 is really compatible with HDMI 2.0. And then came the disappointment. He failed with both the Playstation 4 For and using the Minix Neo U9-H. Apparently he's not actually HDMI 2.0 or came with defect.
Just by connecting the Nintendo Switch, the Framemeister, and the BD Player, all limited to 1080 p and HDMI 1.4. At least he didn't give problems with HDCP. Ended up only as a replacement for LINK-MI LM-SW04, with the advantage of saving a socket and keep the wires more organized by having all the HDMI ports on the back. But that's all, I can't count on him for HDMI sources 2.0 because it does not work with them.
The LEDs are all red and not enough to bother, even with the switch getting right under the TV. With Sony XBR TV-55X905E off the POWER LED comes on and goes out from time to time. Maybe the TV do the USB ports power intermittently when is switched off, but not sure.
The HDMI Switch Vention VAA-S20 automatically selects the font that is active when there is only one. As I never call the three connected equipment on it once, I just dismissing the remote and never need to touch the switch.

With almost two months of use I didn't notice any flaw in the signal passing through the HDMI Switch Vention VAA-S20. But I can't recommend it because it does not work with HDMI 2.0 as promise. Is limited to HDMI 1.4, in other words, 1080 p sources. Might work with 4 k up 30 Hz, que é suportado pelo padrão HDMI 1.4, mas nem cheguei a testar.
