Recently we reached the fourth book of the season, the Playstation 2, What is the Volume 17. This edition covers the Sony console that today holds the video game console ever sold in the world more, with more than 155 million units sold.
The package of Publisher Europe remains poor. Delivered into the hands of the Post and the result could not be another. Book grated and mashed. In the photos and video unboxing It does not seem so bad, but personally it is far worse:
- Dossier OLD!Gamer: Playstation 2 – Volume 17, on its packaging.

I complained to the publisher and they sent me another book. This time finally did what I always asked: They posted a cardboard around, so that the book arrived in perfect condition:

I never had a Playstation 2. Between 1994 and 2001 eu practically only played on the PC, as I reported in a previous article. First the ease of copying games from colleagues on floppy disks, and also because my parents have invested in upgrades two PCs, at a time when they were advancing quickly, with new processors, more memory, more space in HDDs and multimedia kits. I could not keep asking to buy video games also. And the PC era multifunctional, it served mainly for my studies and then to my work, games were only a nice bonus.
In 2002 I was already earning my money and finally bought a Playstation, but it was Playstation One. Although the Playstation 2 longer available, it was still expensive for Brazilian standards. I played both Playstation One, I had a few dozen games, but then I ended up going back to the PC, it had better graphics. The resolution of the monitors at the time was far superior to the TVs, even all still CRTs.
My next island ended up being a Playstation 3, bought em 2009 during a trip to the US. I bought it more to use it as Blu-ray player than as a video game console, so much I returned to Brazil with two films (Marley and Me, Shawshank Redemption) and just a game (Street Fighter IV). The price of a Blu-ray player standalone It was equal to the Playstation 3, which also ran movies and was still a video game console. So it was much more advantage.
After that figured out how to buy cheap games overseas, mainly in England (good times those of ShopTo), and I went back to pick up the islands like. Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and re-acquisition of the ones I had in the past: Sega Genesis, Master System, Atari 2600… but I stop there because it would have no money or space to have all consoles I would like. But if it were to continue collection, Nintendo 8 and bit Playstation 2 would certainly be the next.
So I'm reading and enjoying quite the history of Playstation 2, Island had a great longevity. Many of my favorite franchises passed him, and the library of games is huge: are 645 them in this book Dossier OLD!Gamer: Playstation 2!
