Recently came the fifth book of the third season, the Jaguar, What is the Volume 18. This edition covers the full story of the latest Atari video game.

Jaguar didn't have many games. Are only 69 in this edition. It would be a very thin book, but Editora Europa took the opportunity to also include the Lynx story, the Atari laptop, and yours 78 games, totaling 147 games.

Still few games, so there was room to include the story of Jaguar’s two most striking games: Alien vs. Predator and Rayman. Por fim, in this edition many games won a full review page and screenshots. On other systems, with many games, this honor was restricted only to the most famous games, while most were left with only a third or a quarter of a page.

The package of Publisher Europe remains poor, with just a thin plastic wrap around the book. With the help of the Post Office, it always ends up in grated and kneaded. At least this time it was just a little ear, so I let it go. But I have already stopped renewing the collection for the fourth season for now. I will wait for some better promotion or leave to buy the books on Amazon after launch.

Check out the photos and video of the unboxing of the Dossier OLD!Gamer: Jaguar – Volume 18:

I've never owned an Atari Jaguar or an Atari Lynx, my only Atari console was the Atari 2600. In 1993, year of its launch, I was still playing the fourth generation consoles, as Mega Drive and Super Nintendo, and any newer console was a distant dream.

After that I started to become interested in PCs. Between 1994 and 2001 eu practically only played on the PC, as I reported in a previous article. First the ease of copying games from colleagues on floppy disks, and also because my parents have invested in upgrades two PCs, at a time when they were advancing quickly, with new processors, more memory, more space in HDDs and multimedia kits. I could not keep asking to buy video games also. And the PC era multifunctional, it served mainly for my studies and then to my work, games were only a nice bonus.

In 2002 I was already working and earning my money. So I finally bought my next video game. But it wasn't the Jaguar, that had already been left out at that time, but its main executioner: the Playstation One, who dominated the fifth generation.

Anyway, it was worth reading this little book, that I already finished a few weeks ago. It's another very interesting chapter in the history of video games.

Really. The only criticism for these booklets is the packaging.
