Como já mencionado, tenho um laptop de trabalho Dell Latitude 7370. Ele é bem leve e compacto, e é minha escolha para viagens, mas é bem econômico em termos de portas USB: são apenas duas portas USB Tipo A e mais uma porta USB Tipo C.
Uma dessas portas está constantemente utilizada pelo receiver do mouse sem fio, que é um Mouse Logitech MX Anywhere 2. Eu até poderia configura-lo via Bluetooth para economizar uma porta, mas é sempre algo que eu deixo pra depois. Até porque não existe um lugar no próprio mouse para guardar o receptor e não perde-lo, como existe em outros modelos.
Na porta USB que sobra eventualmente eu conecto pendrives, HD externo, celular, leitor de cartões, etc. Eventualmente preciso usar algum desses e o HD Externo já está sendo usado por algum aplicativo. É aí que um Hub USB é necessário.
Saí então em busca de um Hub USB compacto, que não adicionasse muito peso em minha mochila. Quatro portas costuma ser o padrão e me é suficiente nesse caso. Fonte de alimentação externa não era um requisito, pois seria peso extra para carregar e eu não devo ligar mais de um HD Externo ao mesmo tempo. USB 3.0, por outro lado, é um requisito para poder aproveitar plenamente os HDDs e SSDs externos USB 3.0.
A escolha da marca Orico se deu pela minha experiência anterior com a marca. Já tenho outros dois hubs USB da marca, e já fiz review deles aqui no Skooter Blog. Confira:
O W8PH4-U3 está conectado permanentemente no meu Mini PC, o MSI Cubi 2, que também tem menos portas do que eu preciso. São quatro no total, sendo uma Tipo C, e apenas duas na parte traseira.
O A3H13P2 está conectado permanentemente no meu PC, facilitando a conexão de HD externo, tablet, fones de ouvido, celular, etc. sem precisar apelar para as portas que ficam atrás do gabinete.
Como ambos estão cumprindo bem o seu papel, a escolha pela Orico novamente era natural. A marca tem modelo para todos os gostos. O WH4P1 é um dos mais simples e compactos. É USB 3.0, tem 4 portas e tem até um extra interessante: uma porta microUSB onde pode ser conectada uma fonte externa não inclusa. A ideia é conectar um carregador de celular ou algo do tipo se for necessário. Fechei com ele.
Havia duas opções de cores: preto e branco, e duas opções de comprimento de fio: 30cm e 1 metro. Como estava buscando algo leve e compacto, fiquei com a opção de 30 cm. E escolhi o preto porque prefiro meus eletrônicos nessa cor.
Unboxing
O pacote chegou em 20 dias corridos. O Hub USB 3.0 Orico WH4P1 chegou em um envelope bolha. Dentro dela o produto estava embalado em sua caixinha.
Em um dos lados do produto temos o LED que indica quando ele está ligado, 3 portas USB 3.0 e a porta microUSB para entrada de energia.
Outra porta USB 3.0 fica isolada em um dos lados menores. O cabo de conexão com o laptop sai pelo outro lado menor.
Na parte de cima temos o logotipo da Orico, e na parte de baixo temos algumas especificações: o modelo WH4P1, a entrada de 5V e 0,5A, e a interface.
Para testar o Hub USB 3.0 Orico WH4P1 conectei um HD externo e mais dois pendrives, e ele identificou todos eles corretamente, abrindo as pastas correspondentes.
Não cheguei a testar a alimentação externa, não é algo que eu pretenda usar. Mas espero que o Hub USB 3.0 Orico WH4P1 não permita que corrente da fonte externa flua para a saída do laptop. Já vi isso ocorrer com aqueles painéis com portas USB para desktop, que permitiam que a corrente da alimentação extra (via Molex) fluísse para o header USB da placa-mãe, ativando uma proteção da mesma que não permitia que ela ligasse. Isso não é algo que eu tenha como testar facilmente, então resta confiar na Orico.

Paguei 30,89 nele com esse mesmo frete (Aliexpress Standard Shipping) usando cupom de $3 para novas contas, mas com dólar alto do jeito que está, sairia muito mais caro hoje.
Agora eu tô espantado com a rapidez com que você recebeu a encomenda, ainda mais nessa pandemia, pois eu comprei no dia 04/03, o vendedor somente postou no dia 10/03, mas segundo o rastreamento, ele nem chegou no Brasil ainda 😦 Talvez pelo seu seu ter sido enviado da Suécia, e o meu, da China.
Pois é, espere que o meu não demore muito, pois está complicado usar laptop com apenas 3 saídas USB. Gosto de jogar deitado na cama, aí só o mouse sem fio, receptor do controle e DAC USB pra fone de ouvido já ocupam todas as portas. De qualquer forma, obrigado pela análise.
